Business process refers to a set of systematic activities or tasks that an organization or company or industry performs to achieve a specific goal or outcome. 2. Management Process

These include performance monitoring, decision making, risk management, and setting company goals. The purpose of management processes is to run the business in an effective and stable manner so as to make the future of the company safe and successful. It involves the activities of different management levels.

3. Supporting Process

Supporting process are a type of business activities that support the core and management processes of the business but not directly. These include financial management such as finance, human resources and information technology. In this process we can further improve the daily operations and through this business process we can use the resources properly. The primary objective of supporting processes is to improve operational efficiency.

Simple example of business process

For example we have a restaurant service delivery process. Now suppose that a customer comes to our restaurant, his arrival is the beginning of the business process. The former is welcomed and provided with our restaurant menu. The costumer gives us the order and we noted and the order is sent to the kitchen. The chef ready the food for costumer as per the order of the costumer and it is delivered to the customer’s table by the waiter. When the food is eaten, the waiter prepares the bill and collects it from the customer.

Finally, the customer is thanked and dismissed from the restaurant. The entire process is designed to improve customer service and satisfaction, and each step is effectively managed to maintain quality of service.
